Chaotic Good Beast
Blanda [singular], or Blandis [plural]

'Dark matter' hybrids of dragon, fox, and horse, created from the ashes of a devil lord, which has been slain in protection of others, during the Day of Rising. It is a sign of rebirth, renewal, and change, and its appearance reflects the darkness of the night. It has no need to eat, sleep, or even breathe, being a beast of the Resurrection.

Blandis are extremely wise, and share their views, and voice through the minds of others, having no ability to speak naturally. Their eyes are reminiscent of the eclipse, but when angry, the pupils narrow, the irises giving a burning ring appearance, their claws are razor sharp, four 'fingers' on each paw, their tails used as to keep perfect balance, as well as can be used for defense. From their mouths emit a white light of radiance and cold. These animals are friendly, and offer aid to those in need, those lost in the wilds, and because of this, have been used by carriage drivers because of their stamina, their capabilities for combat, as well as their impeccable sense of direction. As of now, there are only 75,000 of these creatures in existence.

Blandis have a secondary form, seen only to those who have been near death, where the tail is coated in black, tar like liquid that dips to the ground, and their bodies are covered in black, dust-like material. This dust rises into the air, while the rest remains of this material is transformed into a black, tar-like liquid, that falls over the body, forming a coating much like armor for itself, this liquid silky, and soft to the touch, akin to fine satin, or silks. The Blandis can shift between these two forms at will, but when this secondary form is active, they are immortal. When it dies, like a phoenix, they turn to ashes and rise again.
